Retro-Sexism

In the 90s, Lad Mags like Maxim and FHN (both British imports) usered in what has come to be known as Ironic or Retro Sexism. The ad world was a little slow to pick up on this but it has become the defacto approach for the marketing of men's products.

Case in point: Mitchum Man.
